Hugs are like popsicles in summer

I love my best friend! Absence does make the heart grow fonder and first thing we could think of when we saw each other were to give ourselves a hug. Our hug clearly threw away any potential blame game to both of us for being constantly busy and not hanging out as much as we used to.

In the movie of ‘When Harry Met Sally’, Billy Crystal explains to Meg Ryan that men and women can’t be friends because the sex part always gets in the way. In which she negated this premise by highlighting her existing set of male friends. Although what ensued later was the line of reasoning from him which was interesting enough “because no man can be friends with a woman that he finds attractive. He always wants to have sex with her” I love this movie and I think it helped me to understand women back then but sometimes even the textbooks have poor quality control hence men can or must I add should have a girl as his best friend or one of his best friends. The quality of time spent is just different.

Unraveling the secrets of a woman’s thoughts is like solving the Rubik’s cube. It’s a thrill to go through the process of solving it yourself that carries bragging rights but sometimes getting pointers from someone who knows the cube is not considered cheating. It is mere guidance.

Of course I’m not in agreement that all of the views given by another female are divine truth, but it is undeniably a valuable different perspective. Being a man is all about thinking strategically because at the end of the day we are part of a big fraternity yet sometimes there is a need to be tactical in between battle lines and having an insider saves you from pointless battles.

A man’s hormonal rage is cured by sex or workouts whereas a woman’s hormonal rage best dealt with a hug. Sure hope to get a feedback on this. =D
